The essential layer of the training’s programme is based on effective project management techniques and tools. The programme includes a compilation of methods: PMI, Prince2 and Agile. It is dedicated to business practitioners, who work in/are in charge of all kinds of projects. It focuses on effective tactics, models and behaviours, leading the Participants step by step through a set of project management tools and simulating the course of project and organization presented in the case study.


Business Academy Trainer – An expert having nearly 10 years of experience on a position of Project Manager, Office Manager, Manager of Administration, Director of Finance and Administration in a big polish capital group. Conducted numerous projects under the PMI standard (building a warehouse, international trade fair organization, restructuring projects and much more). Gone through all carrier levels in terms of administration and project management. During training sessions focuses on the practical aspect of Project Management work. Currently, working on the position of Director of Administration, proxy and shareholder. Graduate of English Philology (Master’s degree) and International Relations (Bachelor’s degree) at the Opole University, Controlling (post graduate) at the University of Economics in Wrocław and finally The School of Project Management at WSB Wrocław. Furthermore, have led numerous marketing and event projects (client events, international trade fairs, conferences). Currently, is also responsible for marketing, promotion and HR departments. Passionate about self-development and family. Eager to share his knowledge with co-workers.

Training goals

To increase competences of participants and increase the effectiveness in the field of project management evaluated goals: from setting the cause and range of the project by planning, monitoring, controlling and closing the project.

Specific objectives:
• Get to know and understand by the Participants the logic and methodology of project management based on: PMI, Prince2 and agile approach.
• Usage of tools and project documentation during the training.
• Participants preparation to become a project leader and group member by:
– development of skills for people working in project teams,
– acquire knowledge for people managing projects.

After completing the training, participants will acquire knowledge regarding:
• Defining aims and scope of the project.
• Indicating how to build a project team.
• Identifying position of stakeholders and the needs of the users.
• Using available models, tools and techniques in the project work.
• Elaborating and using project documentation.
• Preparing schedule of project work and planning resources.
• Defining risks and elaborating their minimalization plan.
• Managing communication in the team, with the Sponsor and stakeholders.
Monitoring and controlling implementation of the project.
Evaluating project results and preparing a summary report of the project.

To whom it refers

People who have recently started managing projects or participating in project teams, and for those who are willing to understand rules governing projects.

Training methodology

The programme is conducted basing on PMI, Prince2 and elements of agile approach. The central part of the training is an example of real project, during which the participants conduct exercises, which step by step, guide them through all stages of the project. It refers to the experience of the Participants, requires their activity, engagement in the exercises, discussions, and recommended actions. This approach allows very practical and immediate adaptation of techniques and tools presented during the training in real life business situations.

2. Logic of project management:
• Functional management vs. project management
• Sources of failures and traps waiting for people engaged in the project

3. Life cycle of the project and project management in an organization:
• Definition and project characteristics, terminology
• Stages of the project and life cycle of the project
• Two styles of project management – definition, features, implications
• Project documentation

4. Concept of the project:
• Project and the strategy of the organization
• Project concept characteristics
• Analysis of an idea for the project (problem, chance, necessity); business motivation
• Commencement of the project – Concept of the project*

5. Key people in the project:
• Sponsor:
– role, tasks, identification criteria or analysis of the chosen Sponsor – Sponsor selection sheet
• Leader of the project
• Project team:
– Characteristics, tasks
– Phases of building the project team – from a new team to a winning team
• Stakeholders:
– Definition, stakeholders’ identification and their attitudes towards the project – Stakeholders analysis sheet,
– Identification and analysis of the needs of users and their impact on the success of the project,
– Ways of acquiring reliable information concerning the project – Record of an interview with the user

6. The goal of the project – setting and using:

7. Project charter:

Organizational information

Costs of participation: One person 1490 zł + 23% VAT

We kindly ask for payment after receiving written confirmation and write in the title of payment the code of training.
VAT is not included if the training is financed by 70% or more by public funds.

The price includes: participation in classes, training materials, coffee brakes, lunch, certificate of finishing the course.

Hours: 10:00 – 16:30

Location: Warsaw – own training class in the MDDP Academy or conference centres in given cities.
